CFD simulation and optimization of heat transfer enhancement in HEV static mixers with rotated angles for turbulent flows

Static mixers are becoming increasingly popular because they energy-efficient, cost-effective, and easy to maintain. Mixing is an essential unit operation in many chemical industries. In this study, a modified high efficiency vortex static mixer was used examine laminar flows rectangular duct. To encourage fluid rotation improve mixing with heat transfer, the set rotated by angles of 0?, 5?, 10?, 20?, 25?, 30?. The Reynolds number varied from 3000 8000. outcomes demonstrated that performance significantly impacted set. highest achieved angle between 15? 20?. Furthermore, rotations reduced pressure loss system enhanced transfer performance, creating vortices. These results show how can turbulent flows, prospective utilization across diverse sectors.
